In honor of fall — which was at its prime when I originally wrote this — I created a fall herbal tea blend that is super delicious and just perfect for those cool mornings…or nights…or really anytime! I just love this, and the kids do, too. It’s naturally caffeine-free, so it’s safe for just about anyone, and it even contains some rooibos tea, which is possibly beneficial for allergies and digestion, among other things. Can we say awesome?
It only takes a few minutes to mix up, stores for at least several weeks and is all-around great. It would even make a nice gift if you have someone in your life who loves gourmet tea but not the prices at which they come. Or maybe just as a gift to yourself…. 🙂
Fall Blend Herbal Tea
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups red rooibos tea
- 1/2 cup dried apple chunks
- 2 cinnamon sticks, cut into small chunks
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 vanilla bean
Directions:
Step 1: Dump everything in a bowl. Mix briefly to combine and store in an air-tight container (I use a glass bowl).
Step 2: When you’re ready to brew, simply add 1 tablespoon of the fall blend to 8 oz. of water, let steep for ten minutes, sweeten as desired, and enjoy.
