Have you ever heard of kombucha?
Kombucha is a fermented Chinese tea and a probiotic beverage with many health benefits. It’s among our family’s favorites, and we’ve been brewing it for two years now.
Buying kombucha is possible, but it’s expensive — up to $4 for a 16-oz. bottle! We consume anywhere from 3 – 5 of these bottles a day. I certainly couldn’t afford to buy it that way!
In contrast, brewing kombucha is quite cheap — around $1 a gallon. It’s also relatively easy. It can be intimidating if you’ve never done it before, though. I know I was intrigued but uncertain at first, and that my brewing habits have changed as I’ve become experienced.
If you’re interested in trying to brew your own, now you can! The video below shows you step-by-step how to bottle and brew your own kombucha, and explains all of the equipment you need to do it.
All the supplies required for brewing Kombucha are available at Cultures for Health, who sponsored this video.
In case you like a little more indepth information (like I do), there’s an accompanying ebook! It’s FREE for subscribers, and describes all about kombucha: what it is, the health benefits, what supplies you need, how to make it, how to grow your own SCOBY (and what a SCOBY is), different flavor options, and even a long FAQ! And all you have to do to get it is subscribe below. 🙂 (Current subscribers will receive their copies too.)
