Delicious, healthy, real food holiday dishes have never been so easy….
In Festive Traditions, you will find 31 recipes that are perfect for all of your holiday activities — from Christmas morning brunch to caroling with the kids to your intimate New Years Eve dinner. This book has a real food recipe for every occasion!
My inspiration for writing this book was memories of the holiday season from when I was a kid, as well as holiday traditions that I want to incorporate with my own family. Warm drinks around the Christmas tree when we came in from playing in the snow, the sweet tartness of cranberries in cookies and sauces, the smell of a roasted turkey in the oven. Whether you are cooking for your family of three, or needing to prepare enough food for a small army, these dishes will satisfy everyone.
If you have the additional challenge of providing food for friends or family with allergies, look no further! All of the recipes in this book are free of soy, and many are gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free. All recipes are marked with icons clearly depicting their allergens, so you can quickly and easily identify recipes that work for you and your guests!

What are others saying about Festive Traditions?
“I love the fact that Jill hand selected and tested a small number of recipes with simple ingredients and steps that anyone can follow. I always find myself getting a cookbook that has way too many recipes that I can never pick which one will taste good enough to make! But Jill’s e-book makes me feel confident that anything I decide to make, it will be good. Jill has added a personal touch at the beginning of each recipe that gives an incredibly welcoming, warm and friendly tone. Also, since I’ve been cooking with more real foods and organic foods lately, I’ve been afraid to try making desserts. After reading through this book, I cannot wait to try making real desserts!” –Hannah Helsabeck, President, Essential Safe Products

Their sensitivity to natural and real food-ways truly makes this a book to not only cook by, but one to live by as well.” –Kristy Gardner, Gastronomical Sovereignty

“Festive Traditions: A Real Food Guide for the Holidays is a well thought out book filled with recipes made with only the highest quality real food ingredients that will leave your body feeling nourished rather than run down during the holidays. What a great way to introduce friends and family to real food and share with them just how delicious real food is! Lots of the recipes have been adapted to be more allergy friendly and are marked as dairy-free, gluten-free and/or nut-free.” -Katie Watts, This Chick Cooks
“Festive Traditions: A Real Food Guide for the Holidays is a trove of practical, real food recipes. It contains healthified versions of traditional holiday fare like Green Bean Casserole and Buck Eyes, but it also contains recipes I would make for everyday meals such as Crockpot Beef Stroganoff and Cheesey Potatoes. As a gluten free cook I could serve most of these delicious recipes to my family of celiacs. Each recipe is identified as to being free of gluten, nuts or dairy. Cooks who will be hosting gluten free family and friends will find this to be a very helpful resource.” -Kristel Wiesner, Healthy Frugalista
