Assists patients and families in recognizing, understanding, accepting and adjusting to psychiatric problems.
Oversees treatment plans and care provided by clinical staff and directly oversees Psychiatric social workers and LLP psychologists. Builds a positive work environment by guiding employees to support the mission of the hospital, mentoring and encouraging teamwork. Participates with the Program Director in the interview process, makes recommendations for hiring, disciplinary action or termination of employees, as appropriate.
Actively participates and provides written input in the performance review process for Geropsych Medical Social Workers and Limited Licensed Psychologist staff. Assists with the development, recommendation, communication and interpretation of hospital and departmental policies to assigned staff.
