In a medium bowl, beat the eggs, cream, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Dip the slices of bread into the egg mixture. If desired, slice into "sticks" about 1 - 1.5" wide first.
Melt some butter in a large frying pan over medium heat.
Add the coated slices of bread to the frying pan and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3 - 4 minutes per side.
Remove from the pan and serve with a small amount of maple syrup for dipping, or drizzle a little syrup over the top.
