Mix the flour and spices together in a medium bowl.
In another bowl, mix cream, egg, and pepper sauce. You can add more or less pepper sauce to taste; this is moderately spicy (but less spicy than Wendy's chicken sandwich). I'd probably add more next time.
Heat the oil over medium-high heat in a large frying pan, about 1/2" deep.
Dip the chicken into flour, then into the cream mixture, and back into the flour.
Fry over medium heat for 7 - 8 minutes per side until the outside is golden brown and the chicken is cooked through.
Remove the chicken to a plate covered with a towel to drain and cool.
When ready to serve, place the chicken on the buns and top with lettuce, tomato, cheese, homemade mayo, barbecue sauce, or other toppings as desired.
