Immune Supporting Gummies

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp elderberries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 inch slice ginger
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 1/4 cup grape juice
  • 5 tsp gelatin
  • 2 tsp vitamin C powder
  • 2 tsp probiotic powder

Instructions

  • Combine elderberries, ginger, and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.  Boil for 1 - 2 minutes then turn it off.  Let it sit for 20 minutes.
  • Strain the elderberries, squeezing them well, and reserve the liquid -- you need 1/4 cup.
  • Stir in the cinnamon and raw honey.  Add the gelatin and let it sit for a couple minutes.
  • In a separate pot, heat the grape juice until steaming.  Pour it into the other mix.
  • Stir until gelatin has dissolved.
  • When the mix has cooled to warm (cool enough that you can touch it), add the vitamin powders, if using.
  • Pour into molds or a square baking dish.  Place in the fridge.
  • Cut into 1/2" squares or pop out of the mold.  Store in the fridge for 2 - 3 weeks.  Take 1 - 2 daily; more (up to 1 per hour) at the first sign of illness.
