I love this soup, but because I'm making soup at a community soup kitchen and some of my people are diabetic I had to make a change. I have been eating this soup for 6 months at least. So easy to make and so good too!!! I needed a soup to take to a church function and wanted to use cabbage because it is on sale. Will definitely add this to our Chinese meal menu! Why bother, leave it out. I've tried others but I think the soy sauce in this one gives it great flavor!I always add about a tsp. The only change I made to the recipe was to use chicken broth where it called for water, so as not to dilute the flavour. In fact my hubby likes it better. Better than at link restaurant!
