My Personal Path For Becoming A Certified

I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings on becoming a husband, and soon a father as well.

Maybe some of this will resonate with others on the same path. Carly and I were married October 10, last year. I know there are other men out there who want to be husbands and hopefully fathersand the world needs them to be the best husbands they can. My hope is that any man or woman reading this will take some value away from my experiences that they can apply to their own lives.

Struggling to pay the bills, much less take a long overdue vacation.

For starters, before I gave my life to Jesus, I was married and divorced before. No guidance on being a man.

No wisdom on being a husband. The whole phase was completely chaotic and predictable. I allowed her to rule and catered to her bad behavior. It pretty much went exactly how you could expect with two immature and broken people getting together.

But I experienced the marriage relationship the worlds way, and it went the way of the world. Afterwards, I spent years taking the time to look deeply at myself and that situation to learn to discern my issues and choices that led to that. Eventually, I realized the fault was my own and I had to take responsibility for becoming a better man.

So own it and take responsibility, because ultimately you are way better off accepting complete fault rather than playing the pathetic little victim.

Fast forward several years, and I had moved to Florida and was born again to a new life in Jesus Christ. I was determined to be a completely new My Personal Path For Becoming A Certified and grow closer to God. It was during this time I met Carly and we grew a friendship. During the period before we got together, God did a lot of work on me as I studied and prayed over his word. I began to distance myself from who I used to be and get a clear vision of the man I wanted to be. We got together and began dating December and through most of But Jesus makes us new and I believe God had other plans and wanted to push me into another level of maturity and greater role of responsibility.

The day Carly and I decided to be together, we both had the same conviction and made it clear that if we were doing this, the goal was marriage. This led me into almost obsessively seeking guidance and wisdom on being a stronger and more biblical man and preparing to fulfill my role as a husband. So you literally have zero excuses for not learning what you need to become a better version of yourself. Ignorance and weakness is a choice.

I began absorbing as much info as I could from men who were ahead or on the same journey as me as husbands and fathers. The real journey begins when the false self fails. I was nice. And let me tell you, a hesitant man is the last thing in the world a woman needs.

To seek wisdom and become wiser. Through this time of prayerfully seeking and studying, I started to see the responsibility of men and marriage. I began to see my role as a husband as a duty.]
