I awake from another harrowing dream about Pop-Up Pirate. That cold, emotionless, singular eye. Anyway, I shake it off and stumble towards the shower, catching a glimpse of the time.

I was supposed to be there fifteen minutes ago. I arrive on campus. I stand outside the door to the studio and take a deep breath. If I can just survive one more day, I can escape these cretins forever. Just one more day.

They fall for it, there are smiles all round. I find a seat behind the monitor. I look down at the floor.

My last post mentioned a two-week break but that turned into two months. Thank you to everyone for being patient. I quit my first job in administration, started a new job at my college, and needed some time off. During the summer, I underwent a huge transition…personally and career-wise. This new job is near to my heart as I was learning the ropes to be a peer mentor with incoming students. It was an adventure outside of my comfort zone.
