I didn't find this story on WattPad; my mom told me about how a 17 year old had gotten a 3-book deal with Random House after the publishing company found her story online. Because of the fact that it was the publishing house, itself, that contacted HER, I thought that what I was going to be reading would be better than what it was. Master of the Universe did not kissing booth based on a book me when it was fan fiction, and since James didn't make any changes when she actually published, I don't like the actual book either. There ARE some really great fanfic writers out there, who I think would be amazing if they wrote their own work. However, despite this being an original story, Reekles is NOT one of those online writers that actually has impressive potential unfortunately. Her story is way too cliched. In the case of The Kissing Booth, it's just one big cliche that repeats itself over and over again.
I mean, all that happens is the following: Lee and Elle hang out Guys flirt with Elle without her realizing it Noah gets possessive and beats someone up; Elle gets mad Noah and Elle fight Noah and Elle make up and then make out That process continually repeats itself over and over visit web page. This book- this book was a mess to the point where I would legitimately tear it apart had it not been on my kindle. When you hear a bookworm saying that they would tear apart a book, that's your cue to leave this forever in the dusty not picked up pile. Honestly, this whole book was just making out, screaming at each other, fighting, and characters acting like all around stereotypical abusive teenagers.

To start this book off, we have Elle and Liam lay around not doing anything, cracking offensive jokes that rely kisssing gender standards. So that was a fun twenty percent. And that also plays a big theme throughout the book, but that's definitely not in the way it should. What should've happened is Elle should have stood up to Noah and told him z quit it, the fact that you can't command another person's life or dating life and it is not hot when someone does should've come into play, and many other discussions about it should've been held.
Instead, Elle click here gone through a first kiss, first date, doesn't know how to act on dates, etc. I'm not sure this could've gotten any more shallow. The fact that Noah's been controlling her dating life and not letting her do her own thing also makes Noah super super hot. There were also moments when Noah would force Elle into making out or doing whatever else when she had clearly said no. And that is a big bokk. N-O Noah. Can you say it with me? Since it's quite obviously this book has shown he has no idea what the meaning of that word is. I'm not even going to begin to dive into these boik, self obsessed characters and this cringe-worthy writing, but to put it shortly, they were awful.
Long story short, I hated this book and will never recommend it to anyone unless of course they're looking for a book to compete with their least favorite book. It's a total pain. First off, the trailer basically confirmed that most, if not all of the original cast members will be returning to the franchise. While depicting the struggles between Elle and Noah as they navigate a long-distance relationship for the first time, Lips having thin also has to decide whether she will keep her promise to Lee and attend Berkeley with him, or be with Noah at Harvard. But despite much of the film focusing on Elle's tough decision, she never really comes to a conclusion before the movie ends.
