It's an uncomfortable read. It has strong displays of toxic masculinity and though the heroine is aggravated by it she ultimately forgives the men in her life who treat her like a child. What's most disturbing about this book, is that I enjoyed it until I really thought about what I was reading. Reading this book after seeing the movie has given me split views on some the characters and cemented my views on others. Both only had a snippet that was actually relevant to a kissing booth. The rest was just a typical opposites attract love story. Book Lee is probably my favourite overall. Elle is not the sort of character I enjoyed in either book or movie. She seemed incredibly immature and naive and was quick to abandon her beliefs all because of 1 kiss.
