This is one of those reads that will make you swoon and sigh about a billionaire, Brock, and the woman he has loved since they were kids, Dani. What a read that made me swoon and sigh not only over Brock but Dani as well. The build up between the two is combustible and the sparks that fly The ending is what did me in and what she does after talking with Mark and clears up the misunderstanding which is why I bought the book even though I received an advanced copy. After reading another book from the same author and romantic list most 2022- kisses list 2022 song so disappointed I was a little worried about this one!!

The storyline isn't the most original but it is a quick and easy read. The pacing is great for a book that seems so short. River Laurent has a way with words that makes you feel the story instead of just reading them. This second chance romance is nothing like any I've read in a really long time. It's heart breaking to learn about her past and how things were for her growing up, but knowing what he's done to gain her attention makes me a bit angry at him as well. Even if I understand somewhat how he feels, he really should have explained things from the beginning. He was the fat boy and she was the poor girl with dysfunctional parents. Not having money for food or other resources Dani took to selling kisses for money for her family. Taken from her family and placed in foster homes Dani never forgot her roots.
When given the opportunity to clean a high end clients home she took the chancel Little did she know that her life was going to change. Not that he ever talked to her then but hey it was true love. It was everything I was looking for in a read today and I am glad I found it. Such a heartfelt book that brings those feels to you. I really connected to the characters and loved them so much!!! I want more of them!! What a great story about lost love! All of the characters are great and are written into this story well. You absolutely feel what the author wants you to feel. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review. Another amazing story from River Laurent! The plot was the kissing booth a good night story and had me hooked from the very beginning. The story-line flowed smoothly throughout. The characters were well-defined and easily relatable. I totally fell in love with Brock. I can't wait to see what River comes up with next! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This was a terrific, sweet romance with some subterfuge thrown in for a twist from the usual. Brock and Dani were strong, opinionated but very likeable characters.
