I have enjoyed all of his books, some more than others. This one fell somewhere down the middle for me. I did enjoy the storyline, the mother being sick and forcing the male character back home. It broke my heart when she died so early in the book. And that sucked, Brayden. It really fucking sucked. He moved on quickly after, got married and had a kid.
Meanwhile Rein never moved on. Even though it had to hurt Rein to see Brayden with a daughter, she so quickly stepped up to help care and love her and eventually be Mommy. Both my parents are still alive, thank God, but I can't even imagine the pain of losing ones parents. The love story was pure and sweet between the two.
