Namesake was the sequel I was hoping for! I fell in love with Fable in the first book in this duology and I truly enjoyed continuing to see her growth in Namesake. They were all there and I could never get enough of West. The additional characters including Holland really helped to take this adventure to the next level and there were quite a few surprises along the way. I bought this for my Kindle. Her kidnapping leads to a surprise from her past that she never could have guessed. There is a lot of amazing adventure, as article source surprising twists and turns, and some intriguing intrigue in this book. Everyone around her seems to have secrets and she needs to survive both the unveiling of these secrets and her adventures to finally find peace. We learn some stunning secrets about nearly every character and there is a lot of character growth as well.
I loved the characters in this story; they are so human and yet so hopeful. I continue to really love the description of the settings when Fable is doing free dives in the ocean. The description in here is excellent and settings really come alive for the reader. Everything about the writing here is perfection. This was awesome young adult adventure fantasy at its namesake adrienne young. The description, the world, the characters, the adventure I would definitely recommend it to those who enjoy adventure fantasy. Namesake is a wild ride. Namesake opens where Fable left off. For the first several pages I feel that all Fable does is glare at Clove for doing this unspeakable thing. The only thing that pulls her attention away is the fact that Zola is headed out of the Narrows and toward the Unnamed Sea. From here the story only gets juicier. All that said, it makes for a good character and a good story. Again, Young does an amazing job of giving us a world that we can live in.
