Considering it's a Wattpad story, I'm not really surprised. Don't get me wrong,; for a story originally posted on a site like WattPad, this is good, and I'm not surprised at the number of readers that it has on that site. Allow me to explain. I didn't find this story on WattPad; my mom told me about how a 17 year old had gotten a 3-book deal w I haven't actually finished this book, but right now, I'm about to give up on it. Because of the fact that it was the publishing house, itself, that contacted HER, I thought that what I was going to be reading would be better than what it was. Master of the Universe did not impress me when it was fan fiction, and since James didn't make any changes when she actually published, I don't like the actual book either.
There ARE some really great fanfic writers out there, who I think would be amazing if they wrote their own work. However, despite this being an original story, Reekles is NOT one of those online writers that actually has impressive potential unfortunately. Her story is way too cliched. In the case of The Kissing Booth, it's just one big cliche that repeats itself over and over again. I mean, all that happens is the following: Lee and Elle hang out Guys flirt with Elle without her realizing it Noah gets possessive and beats someone up; Elle gets mad Noah and Elle fight Noah and Elle make up and then make out That process continually visit web page itself over and over again. There's no change that occurs. The constant whiplash of the two romantic leads was irritating, and for Elle making a huge deal about how she had never kissed a guy before, she sure jumped ship quickly when she slept with Noah after only making out with him once.

This book was pretty terrible. For many reasons. For brevity's sake, I will limit my review to one main reason it was terrible: it was written by a 17 year old girl. Honestly, this whole book was just making out, screaming at each other, fighting, and characters acting like all around stereotypical abusive teenagers. To put it simply. So you're got a shaky foundation. To add to that, I found quite a f Oh dear. To add to that, I found quite a few typos and grammatical errors, and the author's writing style wasn't good to begin with.
So you're adding some cheap bones to that house. Unfortunately, my calculator does not compute these highly unrealistic, just simply stupid events. So we're just going to talk about why this is problematic. Basically, Noah's been going the kissing booth goodreads movie free telling boys that he'll hurt them if they ask Elle on a date. Not to mention the fact that he's threatening assault on people who did absolutely nothing.
And that also plays a big theme throughout the book, but that's definitely not in the way it should. What should've happened is Elle should have stood up to Noah and told him to quit it, the fact that you can't command another person's life or dating life and it is not hot when someone does should've come into play, and many other discussions about it should've been held. Instead, Elle hasn't gone through a first kiss, first date, doesn't know how to act on dates, etc. I'm not sure this could've gotten any more shallow. The fact that Noah's been controlling her dating life and not letting her do her own thing also makes Noah super super hot.
There were also moments when Noah would force Elle into making out or doing whatever else when she had clearly said no. And that is a big no-no. N-O Noah. Can you say it with me? Since it's quite obviously this book has shown he has no idea what the meaning of that word is. I'm not even going to begin to dive into these shallow, self obsessed characters and this cringe-worthy writing, but to put it shortly, they were awful. Long story short, I hated this book and will never recommend it to anyone unless of course they're looking for a book to compete with their least favorite book. I do not recommend supporting and reading this book, but if you do decide to, I wish you luck.

Sometimes you need a little story like The Kissing Booth to help you feel like a kid again. Imagine my surprise the kissing booth goodreads movie free I discovered this was written by a kid. The apologise, how will my first kiss be not here is simple — girl and boy Elle and Lee have been best friends literally since their birth on the same day, in the same hospital. But when the school carnival rolls around and Elle and Lee find themselves running the most popular booth of all, things start going a little sideways.
Which leads to Elle and Noah following the sage advice of one R. But seriously, they decide to keep it on free down low. What can go wrong, right? If you grew up on John Hughes movies and are not a member of Generation Butthurt, you might find this enjoyable as well. Or you can make me morph into Mallory Archer and want to scream at you. Because you refuse to kissng being obstinate long enough to attempt to understand the points Beth Reekles was trying to get across. I thought this was adorable. A cheesy and cliched rom-com drama is what this book has to offer, one time read, but I guess, the story could have been much better.
