It really made me reflect back to when l was in high school.

I don't even really know what to write lol! I only bought the book because I wanted to watch the film on Netflix but I am a firm believer now of reading the book before I watch the films. I have learned this over the years to not watch the films first because the books are usually better, I really hope the film is in this case because the relationship was not healthy. Elle and Lee are born exact same day, exact time, mums were besties everything's great, power friendship and all that, until Lee's big brother, is thrown into the mix, will this make or break their friendship? If I knew this was a Wattpad I would have avoided paying for it as I'm not a huge Wattpad fan, most of it can be a lot of crap but I know people do find a lot of stuff they like on it. Did I hate the full story, funnily the kissing booth a book, no!
It was cheesy, romantic and usually my bag as I do love a little cliche, I can't help myself. What I didn't like was how controlling and violent Noah could be, how it was normal for your 16 year old to stay out after prom with a boy you do not like. How there are no consequences for anything any of them do, this alas is because it has been written by a 17 year old who thinks this is the way that life should be, absolutely not. Uhhh hello?! Or the fact that it was wow Noahs so violent, let's make out, all forgiven yey! He is understandably hurt by the developing relationship of his best friend and brother and even though he has issues is supportive of them if not accepting. Noah is a constant in the book and movie that he is shown to be a typical jock but also smart enough for Ivy League standards.
An unusual combo in YA romance but one I admire. There were parts of the movie I wish had been in the book such as the list and the scene where Lee explains how hurt he is that Noah has Elle too but most of the important scenes were there. The ending felt rushed and hugely condensed.
