These shorts came up in my search for maternity swimwear and they did work for me that way! I found the material to be fine and they stayed up with the elastic adjustable waist strap perfectly. The length of the shorts were perfect for me to pair with a Maternity swim top, they would be a little short in my opinion ehorts wear out as regular shorts. Mine did not have the cute scallop edge and flower design on the front hem like the picture which is too bad. The other thing is the length of the belly panel was not quite long enough for my large 31 week belly so I did find that I first kick maternity shorts women size 7 to pull them up higher on the belly but then I would have a wedgie from the seam in the crotch.
