About The Plant

Chamomile dates back to the Egyptians that dedicated it to their gods due to it’s healing powers. It is also known as one of the most popular teas in the world.  It is well known for its wonderful calming effect. It has a big pull for natural mamas because it is considered safe for children.

Chamomile is great to add to your garden and grows well with other plants.  It does best in full sunlight and looks great!

Uses:

  • Calming
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Headache
  • Natural hair lighter
  • Teething
  • Insomnia
  • Stomach pain/nausea
  • Heartburn
  • Skin irritation
  • Pain
  • Depression
  • Pink eye

Anxiety Tea

Chamomile is most well known for its relaxing/calming effect. The most favored way to get this effect is chamomile tea. The tea itself is very mild and slightly sweet. You can order this online through Bulk Herb Store, Mountain Rose Herbs, or Amazon. You also can order or grow the herb and make your own!

Chamomile Tea:

Take 1-2 tsp dried chamomile flowers to 1 cup of water. Boil your water and add your flowers, allowing them to steep for 10 minutes. Add honey, lemon, or any other choice sweetener if you wish. Enjoy!

Note: While Chamomile is considered a “safe” herb for adults and children always check with a professional if you have any questions  Also keep in mind it may effect people with ragweed allergies.
