Recipe Collection: Simple Italian Salad Dressing

This simple Italian dressing recipe has been my go-to for decades.  So much so that even my older kids have learned how to make it.  My 10-year-old (as of 2022) Jacob is especially partial to this dressing and makes it for us often.  If it’s easy enough for him, why not share it with you?  Maybe even your kids will learn how to make it!

Recipe Collection: Simple Italian Salad Dressing

This recipe makes 4 – 6 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cloves garlic, grated on a microplane grater (basically like pulp or minced)
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/4 cup raw red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup avocado oil

Directions:

Step 1: Add all ingredients to an 8-oz glass mason jar and shake well to combine.  (Yes, it’s that fast!)

Serve over any type of salad.

  2. I have been making this recipe for a few months now and my husband and 2 and 5 year olds love it! I love its so much healthier than store bought! I double the recipe and it almost fills a normal sized salad dressing bottle. I store it in the cupboard, not the fridge, it congealed when I put it in the fridge:)

How long will this dressing last? (Meaning how long before it goes bad, not how long until we devour it. :))
