Local Food Mini-Series: Growing Your Own

admin May 20, 2011

If you’re thinking of going local, it doesn’t get much more local than your own backyard.

Growing your own food is a great idea.  It saves money, it’s close by (head out to your own garden to pick produce for dinner!), and you know exactly how the food was grown!

I’ve actually blogged about this topic other times, so today I’m going to give you some posts to refer to when you’re considering growing a garden.  And yes, this applies to you even if you have a tiny yard or just a window box somewhere!

That should get you started!  Hopefully you can find some good information in there.  Next week we’ll be talking more about local food options, so don’t miss it!
